I did a quick test of Midjourney video and was surprised with the results. So I made a comparison between Midjourney Video and Runway gen-4 Turbo with a small variety of images I made in the past and present. While I have no idea how to use the prompt properly with manual yet, it was fun to see how it acted so far. Video in Midjourney is 480p which has an impact of the output quality. Will dive into it deeper the following days.
Yo, **Runway’s Gen-4 Turbo** dropped, and **I’m straight-up ticked off**. Thought it’d slap, but **it’s a total letdown** – lemme rant real quick.
Turbo-4 vids **barely move** – like a **freeze-frame** with a shrug. **Trash quality**, bro. Even regular Gen-4’s whack – **first half freezes**, second half’s like, “Oh, my bad, I’ll start now.” Why’s it so lazy?
**Unlimited plan** folks like me **got nerfed** too – down to ***one*** **generation at a time**. One! I’m tryna work, not twiddle my thumbs. Then there’s this **bug freezing the process at 0% or 100%**, locking my slots. I’m just sitting here like, “Bruh, really?”
And the wildest part? Still **no Act One shortcut** – you’re stuck digging through assets like a caveman. But they **added a \[*****restyle\]*** **button you can’t even use** in-app! (the **restyling** of the first frame **must be done outside** runway!) Meanwhile, **the old \[lip-sync\] button’s still there**, collecting dust.
**Runway, what’s the logic?**
I’m over it – anyone else feeling this pain? Holler at me, I need backup in this mess.
Can anyone tell me what is the reason? Is there any way to solve it?
Hey all — I just finished a music video and used Runway Gen-4 Turbo for a few key scenes. It was my first time trying it out, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out.
The band is pretty wild live, so I wanted the visuals to reflect that energy. I used image-to-video for some of the more surreal and intense sections — and yeah, it took a lot of generations to get what I wanted. Definitely glad I went with the unlimited plan for the month — I probably would've blown past $95 otherwise
Overall, super impressed with what Runway can do. I think it has massive potential and I’ll definitely be using it more going forward.
