The free plan allows for 5 goals and up to 50 initiatives across all teams. These limits do not include archived goals or initiatives.

When you add a member to your organization, you are charged based on your plan. If a member is added mid-cycle, you are charged a prorated amount for the remaining days until your plan renews. This is calculated at the end of every month and charged to your card. If you remove a member, their seat becomes available for the next person you invite.

We accept all major credit cards. For annual subscriptions, we can provide an invoice payable via bank transfer. Monthly subscriptions must be paid by credit card.

Yes, we support eligible nonprofits and academic institutions with an 80% discount on all plans when billed annually. Please email your official documentation, such as your 501(c)(3) status or local equivalent, to hello@thenorth.io.

We offer an 80% discount for up to one year on our best plan for qualifying startups. To be eligible, startups must be less than two years old, have under $1M in ARR, and have 10 or fewer employees. Apply by emailing hello@thenorth.io.

Business plan users with an annual commitment receive a free personalized demo and onboarding assistance. For users on free or starter plans, we partner with coaches who offer OKR training for a fee. Contact us at sherpa@thenorth.io for details.

Our free plan is intended to introduce outcome-based thinking to as many people as possible before they commit to this methodology. As an early-stage startup, we may update our pricing periodically as we learn and grow.

Our billing cycles are designed to suit different needs: Monthly Plan—Choose this to try North if you need more than the free plan offers. You are billed monthly per user, can add or remove accounts at any time, pay only for active accounts during the month, and can cancel without penalty. Annual/Fixed-Term Plan—Commit to one or more years to receive discounted pricing and avoid setup or onboarding fees. Pricing is based on the number of user licenses; you can add licenses as your team grows, but reductions are only possible at the end of the contract. If you cancel before the renewal date, you are charged for the remaining balance of the contract with no refunds. We recommend this for organizations committed to OKRs.
