FAQ from Delphos

Is Delphos an ethical AI solution? +

Delphos soundworlds are generators trained and controlled exclusively by their copyright owners. Soundworld owners are compensated for every transaction involving their soundworld and maintain control over its usage. If a soundworld is shared with other consumers, it is done solely at the owner's direction and remains retractable at any time. Delphos Music maintains a firm stance on protecting copyright ownership and supporting musicians.

How do Delphos credits work? +

Each transaction within Delphos is measured in credits. Generating a loop may cost one credit, while generating a stem pack will cost several. The credit system also enables soundworld creators to set their own pricing when sharing their soundworlds with other users across the Delphos network.

Does Delphos only do instrumentals or can it do voices? +

We currently only support instrumental music. This is due to the increased legal complexities surrounding the reproduction of human voices and likeness. To protect our clients and users, we do not support vocal synthesis at this time.

Who owns the copyright on the compositions generated with Delphos? +

If you own the rights to the music used to train your soundworld, you own the resulting compositions.

What are the differences between the Delphos Musician, Label, and Platform plans? +

The Musician tier allows you to use Copilot to generate loops and tracks from our internal, community-made, and branded soundworlds with no licensing fee—you only pay for what you use. The Record Label tier includes the ability to train your own soundworld and access advanced Copilot features like batch mode generation. The Platform tier includes everything in the Record Label tier plus access to the Delphos API, enabling fully automated workflows that bring generative music directly to your website, app, or tech stack.
