FAQ from Shipixen

What is Shipixen exactly? +

Shipixen is an app that generates boilerplate code based on your branding and page requirements. You receive a Git repository or a ZIP file containing the code, which you can modify and deploy to any host that supports Next.js.

How does the license work? +

With a license, you can generate an unlimited number of websites. You own the generated code, as the license applies only to the use of the app. You are permitted to use the generated code for commercial purposes.

How many websites can I generate? +

A valid license allows you to generate as many websites as you wish. Every website you generate is yours to keep indefinitely, provided as a ZIP file and a Git repository.

Where can I deploy the generated code? +

While we perform an initial deployment to Vercel during the generation process, you own the code and can deploy it to any host that supports Next.js.

How does the blog work? +

The blog is built using Next.js and MDX. You write posts in Markdown, which are then rendered as HTML. It is SEO-optimized and supports search, tags, code blocks, multiple authors, and various layouts.

Who can use Shipixen? Is it no-code? +

While no prior knowledge is required to generate and deploy a site, you will need to be comfortable editing code to perform tasks like writing blog posts. Further customization requires beginner-level experience with web development and React. Shipixen assists with initial code generation, but you are responsible for subsequent code modifications.

Can I get a refund? +

If you have not used your license, you may request a refund within 7 days of purchase. Once the license has been used to access the generated code, we cannot offer a refund. We are confident in the value of Shipixen, as most users are able to deploy and launch their products quickly.

Can I use Shipixen for payments, Stripe etc.? +

The generated output does not currently include payment integrations; it creates a landing page, blog, pricing page, and other selected pages. You will need to add payment integrations yourself. We are continuously improving Shipixen, so this may change in the future. In the meantime, you may want to consider alternatives like ShipFast.

Can I use Shipixen to learn web development? +

Yes, if you have some prior front-end development experience, Shipixen can be a useful tool to build your skills by using the generated code as a foundation for your own modifications.

Will the generated code be human readable? +

Yes. Although parts of the generation process use AI, the resulting code is human-readable and utilizes easy-to-understand components. You can review the component documentation for examples.

What's the tech stack in the boilerplate? +

The boilerplate is built with React, Next.js 15 with App Router, Tailwind CSS, TypeScript, and MDX powered by Contentlayer. The UI library uses shadcn UI, and icons are provided by Lucide.
